Obviously ABC has somethng to gain by airing this show. For one thing, it will promote Miller and 20/20, since he's an anchor for the show. It'll promote sales on Miller's book, and I betcha anything they funded that. Plus it garners ABC good favor -- or could have, if it hadn't backfired-- for being generous and having reporting integrity. It would have been groundbreaking in going against the FBI and CIA. In reading the information on THE CELL, Miller's book, the theme seems to be that the FBI and CIA could have prevented 9/11 if they'd had their sh*t together.
Just some thoughts -- that ABC saw it as a marketing ploy. After all, they follow the two other big networks in the rankings. (Don't they? Am I right about that?)

Someone paid many millions of dollars to make this
distortion of the truth available in a commercial-free format to millions of Americans. Who was it?
I watched this fictionalization of 9.11. Clearly, some brilliant people worked on and in the movie. So why would such brilliant people distort key parts of the story?
Support free speech--and question and expose any heavily subsidized lie about 9/11. Our security and our democracy depends on this kind of free speech.
Hey Paul, what are you trying to push with this lame blog. What's your agenda. Can you say paranoid? All of you partisan political losers are ruining this country. You don't really have an opinion of your own. Why don't you look at reality instead of what your party is preaching.
All of us! I wonder what the film might have shown us if the "9/11" Commission had been able to use all of the documents/data filed in the National Archive?... remember Sandy "Burglar" walked out of the building with many of the papers stuffed in his clothing just as the commission got started. Some were returned, but who knows what kind of doctoring went on with them? and then again many others are still missing. What was it that he and his old boss wanted to hide from us?
First, let me say to the blog that has the nation article link in it. I read this and it was actually quite funny. I do know for a fact that this article is filled with misinformation. This is like the pot calling the kettle black! None of it will check out as true if investigated. I do find it amazing that the so called "Right wing agenda" people will not prosecute for the purposeful publishing of an article so filled with misinformation...but wait THEY are not the whiners in this instance! I do find it also amazing that when the "Left wing folks" whisper... uh OH... the right winged religious groups have a presence in Hollywood; they say it like "HOW DARE THEY", as if the first amendment does not apply if you are either religious or have an agenda other than left. The film was amazing! The film is very well done and is brilliant! If you have not seen the movie (both nights) then at least be honest... or is that too much to ask?
The ABC movie thoroughly reasearched the facts leading up to 911. In the movie, there were scenes created to make a point, but the underlying truth was accurate. The movie was based on interviews, books and the 911 report, some of which I have read. I would put my faith in the field agents, Col. Patterson (Dereliction of Duty) and NOT anyone in the government agencies...both in the Clinton and Bush administrations. Our government is too busy being politically correct and trying to improve our international image to do what needs to be done. They are also caught up in the red tape of bureacracy.
All of the people taking this movie as the basis for their idea of what really did or did not happen is the perfect illustration as to why this movie was so flawed. They are actually wanting to base their ideas and beliefs on something they know to be fictionalized!
As I have always told my children... we do not have a science or math problem in our schools... we have a critical thinking problem.

The author watched the advanced copy sent to conservatives and absolutely believed everything she saw... and went national to proclaim the insight she gained from it.
How embarrassing.
Let's put the blame for all the horrific events of 9/11 where it belongs....politicians...regardless of party....and nothing has changed. Politicians need to drop their rhetoric and do what is right for this Country. Having lived inside the Beltway for a lot of years....nothing ever seems to change. Politicians are out for votes...bottom line.
